[DONE] Is there a doctor in the house?
Greetings everyone.
My name is Doug. A RL friend of mine has played WOW on proudmoore for years with the TOG, and I finally asked him about joining his guild after getting a couple of characters up to the 60s.
I enjoy a good monster bash on the game of WOW prior to/after a hard nights slapping plastic to the patrons at the casino. My love of video games has been a constant in my life since putting that 'Combat' cartridge into the Atari 2600 for the 1st time back around 1979/1980.
I tend to favor video games with a fantasy element. My parents took me to see Conan the barbarian when I was about 8 years old... as well as Excalibar, The Sword and the Sorceror, Beastmaster.. you know, that time of cinema where there was a run of great sword (and sandal?) flicks. It had a lasting impression on me. I got my 1st D&D book when I was 10. The basic handbood, the red one. Not the one that was in the box, with the rules in 2 books, the edition before that 1 when they had all the rules in 1 book, and had interior art by Bill Willingham, David Sutherland the 3rd, Error Otis.... where was I?
Oh yes, well, fantasy video games are my preferred gaming element.
I like wow, it is a step up from Ultima Online which I loyaly played for years.
I'd like to be in a guild who I can count on. Flibble/Drainy has been a big help to me in getting up and along in wow, I believe his guild would be just as helpful and friendly.
I play a lot of late night wow [east aussie time] as I work at night/am a night person, and on my nights off I stay awake, however the TV is too loud a form of entertainment [tbh, I don't watch too much tv] but wow is just fine with the sound down or even off.
Thanks for reading, and here's hoping I will be able to call myself a member of your ranks soon enough.
-Doug
