Greetings All;

I'm a 53, a college professor, and Meera's husband. I've been a gamer my whole life, starting with pinball, Avalon Hill wargames, and a Vic-20. I played my first game of D&D at GenCon in 1974, when it was still held in Lake Geneva. So yeah, I'm old. I still play a lot of boardgames (especially strategy and Euros) and of course console and computer games.

I've played WoW since it came out--our first guild was The North Watch on Ner 'Zhul. The guild began as a group of close local friends, but sort of disintegrated over time as people moved on to other things. Over the last year or so I haven't been playing much WoW until recently, when Meera and I began playing together again.

I'd like to join The Older Games because Meera really enjoys the group, and that's a high recommendation. I also very much enjoy playing and raiding with others, but have avoided joining a guild since I have a low tolerance for drama, and other guilds I've experienced are often immature (in a bad way). As an academic, I get enough of that at work. A group of older fun gamers sounds like just my thing.
