Ok, I get the idea. I need a cuppa for this, hang on......... ok, thats better. Ok, make yourself comfy. Maybe even grab a cuppa yourself!
First, in a nutshell, I'm applying for my character in Lotro [Evernight] Teebs, to join your kinship. It's actually been recommended to me by one of your members, Forbin. So how did all thsi come about?
Well, I started Lotro once it went gold some years back. I was over on the RP server then as would be the norm for me then. I levelled by Dwarf Guardian up to 40 but the hook of the game started to loosen and I went back to wow. More on that in a bit. About 4 months ago (I really picked that number out of the air as I have no idea), I came back to Lotro and started a fresh on Evernight. I had a couple of old online friends there hence me wandering onto a non-RP server. We all started a guild (The Free Company) and my minstrel, (L60) Aargus remains there. But, that guild has about 6 people and 3 of them seldom come online. But, I stick with it as its just a few friends.
Anyway, then the alts started to roll out, fall out of my pockets, sneak into my bed, drink my milk and so on. After much chasing and sitting down for serious chats I'd say I kinda have two full time other chars (not including my bank alt and a random crafting alt). These would be Teebs my Burglar
"hello!" and Dorrin-1 (soon to be renamed due to that bizarre no 1 he gained when I moved him from the RP server to Evernight recently)
"Hello!". Dorrin-1 remains in guilded for the time being, but I've wanted to find a Kin for Teebs. So here I am.
So what do I look for in a guild (has to work both ways right?). Basically Im looking for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I dont take myself too serious, and I really dislike online bickering or stress. I get more than my share of that in RL! I tried another Kin recently but found it only interested in moria instances (Ive done plenty with my minstrel) and there didnt seem to be a friendly atmosphere or one of helping each other etc. So, on chatting to Forbin he said I should look this place up. So here I am.
Still here? wow, impressive. Ok, going on a bit too much now. So, a very quick timeline for you ::
Pen & Paper RP - D&D to WFRP to MERP to Cthulhu (and a few randoms), not done that in years. My first computer was a 48k rubber keyed spectrum (them were the days!!), first adventure was called Island of Death or something, a text only thing. First favourite game was called Penetrator (side on shoot em up thing). the first RPG I fell for and loved was called The Bards Tale, also brought me my first all night gaming session!
Ok, really going on too much now. My first MMORPG was Warcraft when it was released. Still spent most of my time there but not been back there for a long time. Also spent time in Vanguard, AoC, City of Heroes, WAR, Guild Wars. & SWG.
If you want to know more, you must be really bored!
