Default Introduction

Greetings

I'm posting this introduction for no other purpose than to be polite.

I have no real desire to play any current games, although my WOW subsciption is still active, it barely gets loaded nowdays.

A brief history of my gaming career to date would be the right thing to divulge at this point, so without further ado, allow me to regale you with some tales from the past.

My first MMO was Star Wars Galaxies, I had the dubious honour of being a closed beta tester, paying for the frieght via UPS from the states for my discs, and immediately immersing myself in the wonders of Galaxies.

I played on the Valcyn server, and was a member of a guild by the name of Soga Mijizi, who incidentally, placed the first PA hall on the server.
The game may have been lame when it was all said and done, but we really did have some fun.

I persisted with SWG far past its use by date, before I suddenly discovered a game called WOW where once again, I joined forces with the rest of Soga and proceeded to PvP and Raid till I couldn't take it any longer.

My character in WoW has no guild affiliation any more, he just roams Blackrock without any sense of purpose, occasionally entering a BG to pew pew some likely targets.

Over the course of the past few years, I've dabbled in games such as EVE: Online, CoH/V, WAR, and numerous non MMO's, such as CS:S and TF2.

I've generally been regarded as the class clown in guild environments, always quick with a joke, or some witless retort, but that's just me.

I know how to game, I know how to work people, bust most importantly, I know how to enjoy myself, which has kept me away from most of the responsible roles in guild environments, a win win as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, I'm just gonna lurk around until such time as I see people expressing an interest in Champions Online, then I'll pop out of the woodwork and see if you folks want a jackass in spandex by your side.

A pleasure

Thanks Ashlann

I forget to ask a couple of questions in my initial post.

Is there much of a TOG presence in CS:S and TF2 currently? I really am treading water until CO comes out, and am getting the itch for some point and shoot entertainment.

BTW: I am an Aussie in Melbourne, and have the age requirement covered well and truly FWIW.

Cheeseman, you're welcome to 'lurk' around our public forums as much as you'd like.

But there's really no down side to joining TOG now and beginning to get familiar with the web site and get to meet some of your fellow TOG members. You don't have to wait until you're playing a game.

In fact, doing it now might be the best time to join. You'll have more time now to get acquainted than you will after you get involved in the game. And you'll be able to easily see which games we're active in. (And there's a lot of them. )

If you decide to go with a TOG membership now rather than waiting, just edit your profile to check the box for Requesting Membership and then let us know here that you're ready to join us.
