Alchais introduces himself.
Hey, everyone (or at least those who read this part)!
First, I am applying for The Osgiliath Guard in LOTRO.
Wanted that out front. Now for the rest.
HISTORY OF GAMING
I started gaming when I was approx. 2 years old. I disappeared while my parents were packing up a moving van and they later found me playing Frogger on our neighbors Atari. She thought they sent me to get me out of the way. That was only the beginning. Since then, I have owned: Nintendo, Gameboy, Super Nintendo, Playstation, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, PSP, and several PCs. No, I am not a Playstation "fanboy" - it just sort of happened that way. I have played all genres of games at one time or another, but my preference is RPG and FPS. MMORPGs started in college (with a lucky closed beta key for World of Warcraft) and I have played several of them along the way. I currently only play LOTRO. I have a personal rule: only pay for one subscription-based game at a time.
Aside from video games, I have done a lot of tabletop gaming as well. I have mostly played GURPS and D&D 3.5. I am currently the GM/DM for two online campaigns. I also have played Middle-Earth RPG, Palladium RPG, Robotech RPG, and Battletech. I have a meager Magic: The Gathering and WoW TCG collection, as well, but rarely play either any more.
PERSONAL
A little about me, personally. I am married, have no kids (that will change), am in a band (drummer), work as a "technology support specialist" for a private college (fancy name for "they break it, I fix it"), own one cat (Muse), one bearded dragon (Smaug), and want to own a dog, but our apartment won't let us. I am an artist, I have my BS in Graphic Design, but I have not done much artwork since graduating college other than for my online RPG campaigns (see above). I have written a book, but have been too busy (read: lazy) to edit it, so it probably won't ever be submitted for publishing consideration. I think that is about it. Oh, and I like iced tea. I make it all the time.
