Hello fellow Older Gamers!

When I went to the TOG homepage and saw the phrase ‘never too old to play games’, I thought “this is the place for me!”

I’m an enthusiastic gamer from SE England, in my 40’s with 2 kids (the eldest of whom is a big fan of World of Warcraft) and would describe gaming as my main hobby. Sadly, after a full days work and long commute home there don’t seem to be enough hours in the day for me to spend as much time gaming as I’d like, but that doesn’t stop me from trying!

My love of PC gaming came quite late: the first games I played were RTSs (Starcraft and then Warcaft III). I then moved on to MMOs: World of Warcraft (which I played for about 3 years) and WAR (which I played for about 3 months: sadly, it didn’t grab me the way that I’d hoped). At the moment I’m not playing any PC games, but am instead racing around the Wipeout HD tracks (PS3) at a pretty fast rate of knots for an old geezer .

However, I have been following a new MMO (Aion) for quite a while, and have bought the Collectors Edition. My beta experience so far in the game has been so impressive that I believe I’m going to end up spending a lot of time in this game, and I’d love to be able to share that time with a bunch of like-minded people in a fun and positive social environment. Having seen from a fansite (Aionsource) that TOG will be setting up at least one EU legion in the game, I’m very keen to join you guys and hope to be a member here for many years.
