Amazed
Smile TOG LOTRO Application

Hi,

I am married with 3 boys (aged 7, 3 and 1) and have been playing computer games for as long as I can remember (I can remember playing pong in a hotel lobby in the US when I was 11 years old (32 years ago)).

With 3 children and my wife and I working full-time means that I have limited time for playing, therefore I would describe myself as an obsessive casual gamer. I play after everyone has gone to bed and I play only one game (LOTRO). If I am in front of the computer it is hard to reconcile doing anything but playing LOTRO even though I enjoy many different styles of games, and have great memories from many games (Day of the Tentacle to Links 386).

I haven’t own any gaming consoles, my first gaming machine was a Tandy TRS80 (with a tape drive). It was a gaming machine in that all it was used for was for playing games. The games were of the type “you are in a room. There are 3 exits North, South and West”. I really enjoyed those games. I am not a PC snob, it’s just that I haven’t found a game it couldn’t play.

I was an avid D&D gamer for many, many years and still have some fond memories of gaming experiences from 30+ years ago.

I would like to join TOG as I feel that it would add another level of enjoyment to an already excellent game. Whilst I have been playing games for many years, I haven’t been involved in kinships or clans. Rather I have preferred to solo in MMORPGs as I seemed to have little in common with the gaming communities I had previously been exposed to (WoW). From reading the FAQ I feel I have a great deal in common with the TOG community and therefore I am looking forward to experiencing another facet of gaming that I have so far not experienced, which is great.

Thanks,

Bobbywasacowboy

Greetings Bobbywasacowboy,

With 3 boys at those ages I can certainly see why you don't get much game time.
Now that you are approved head on down to the Start Here thread on the LoTRO Division to check out all the info on who the officers are, where our kinhouse is and where to post to get an in-game invite.

Great to have you with us and look forward to seeing you in game.
