Talking Application for membership : Aion (Oceanic)

Hello all,

I would like to apply to the guild, initially to play Aion, but I'm hoping to stick around much longer than the lifetime of a single game.

Kinda tough to write about oneself, but here goes:

Well past my teenage years and have worked in IT consulting for my entire adult life - which, anyone who's worked in that field will know means long hours and plenty of stress. Gaming is my outlet, my way of letting the stresses of real life slip away, if only for a little while.

My partner of 3 years works in the same field, enjoys games too and will likely come play Aion as we tend to play together. She is rather shy though, so I'll have to introduce her to the guild a little later if my application is successful.

My gaming life began with my father's purchase of a ZX81 way back when, and my first game was Donkey Kong written in basic on said ZX81, which I hand-typed from a magazine. I lost track of the hours I spent 'jumping' over asterisks (the graphics were as basic as...)

Since then I've been a bit of an RPG addict, key offline games being Baldurs Gate (well duh!), Diablo II for a while and more recently Oblivion and Fallout 3. Online games I've played include Everquest, Dark age of Camelot, WoW and Warhammer (briefly).

I was a member of different guilds throughout all of that time, and vowed to myself that before starting new game, I would look to join a guild that I can stick with regardless of the game. Although I enjoy meeting new people - theres nothing like being able to have the same group of friends greet you regardless of where your hat ends up - thats what I'm looking for with this application to TOG.

In terms of what character I'm going to play, I'm really undecided, but I've promised myself not to play a healer... even though the healing classes look really good :/ as I've been a healer in just about every game, and its time for a change.

My play times are fairly regular, subject to work not getting in the way, generally weekends are free, and I'll get on most evenings for between 2-4 hours or so.

Anyway, enough about me - and grats if you've read this far.

Please consider my application.

All the best either way.
