Hello all, here goes
I was browsing the Aionsource forums and bumped into a post from one of your members and thought to myself , "hey! im an older gamer! lets see what these guys are all aboot!" so after checking out the site and reading some posts from various members it seems like things are realy on the level here at TOG and something i would like to be a part of .
The Dirty 4 questions
Currently my gaming time is devided among WAR and LOTRO and BF2 . I finally after 5 years have let my WoW subscription die and havent logged in for a few months, i think i may finally be finished with that game. My main interest at this time is playing Aion with TOG upon release in september.
When i was a little kid, my brother bought an Atari 2600 from a local department store, i think it cost him 200 dollars, i cant remember. it was the nice big fat wooden finish Atari , that day changed my life, from that moment on i have been an addicted gamer. With the exception of the goofy consoles (turbografx16 etc, ) i have owned all the major consoles systems. The first pen and paper game i played was Car Wars from Steve Jackson Games (again i was a little kid) . After that though it was DnD wich i guess since it didnt incorporate little cardboard tiles was more of a true "pen & paper" game.
I want to join TOG for simple reasons. I dont mind annoying spamming kids in games, i just cant handle it 24/7 . At 33 years old i realy like to play more on "my terms" and not locked into hardcore raiding or RvR schedules, and prefer a more casual friendly with hardcore options type of group of players. I actually am realy realy surprised i didnt bump into TOG earlier, as i keep my eye open for these kinds of gaming communitys.
About me: not much to say, im a nerd, i love gaming. I live in Vancouver Canada . I work a full time mon-fri job and mostly play between 3pm-7pm PST weekdays . On the weekends sometimes i will put in a 12 hr marathon, and then sometimes i wont even log in for a day .
I have pretty much played all the mmorpg's from UO onward to todays games. Of all the big name mmo's , i would say that DAOC is the only game that i skipped and never played at all. As far as straight up pvp mmo's are concerned, my all time favorite and best online gaming experience came from Planetside during the first year and a half of its life.
Also i tend to be fairly quiet in guild chats and vent although i love hanging out in vent, i like getting to know the people im playing with, it makes the gaming experience all that much better if its with friends.
Anywho , thats about it, thanks for reading .
