Default Howdy

First I'd like to say that OMG I am so excited by that Mechwarrior video. I can't express how glad I am that Microsoft sold (or leased) the FASA IPs!

I started my gaming days with RPSIG (Role Playing Special Interest Group) in Minnesota at age 12 or 13 which unfortunately helped lead to me paying more attention to AD&D books than school books, but that is neither here nor their. Lacking a visual mind I took to computer gaming as soon as it was introduced to me with the gold box series on my brothers x386.

Fast forwarding a bit, I did a small bit of online MW2 via AOL groups then found NWN on AOL, racking up a $400 bill one month at age 16 (whoops)! A couple years later UO came out and it became my new crack until EQ released. Up until EQ I was predominately a solo player in multi-player worlds.

I was most commonly known as Coramoor for 6-7 years in Everquest on Saryrn server, where I met my RL wife (Aviennda in game). We both played EQ pretty heavily for those 6-7 years stepping back when her interests began to tend more towards the outdoors.

For the last 2-3 years I've fallen back into my solo gaming in MMOs. I currently hold a subscription to Eve Online, LOTRO and now Champions online. I only play Eve enough to keep skills going and my POS out in WH space fueled. I don't play LOTRO though have a lifetime sub, which I purchased for myself and my wife to try and tempt her back into gaming to no avail. Obviously Champions is my new game of the month as it pre-releases today.

Nearly all of my memorable moments in computer gaming come from UO and EQ. I eagerly await the next game that will capture me as those 2 did. My current hopes are that CCP/Whitewolf deliver a Vampire/Werewolf MMO that stays true to the PnP game and that Shadowrun is given the love it deserves in either RPG or MMO format. If visuals alone can be a guide to a companies abilities I have a lot of hope for what Smith & Tinker have up their sleeves for Shadowrun and Mechwarrior!

Anywho, as mentioned a couple times in here I'm more of a loner than a socializer. I don't make friends easily, it's me, not you. That said I don't treat people poorly I simply rarely open my mouth, online or off.

Hope this gives ya'll a little insight into who I am and I look forward to getting to know some of you.... Kind of. (see previous paragraph)

P.S. Why I want to join TOG? Open community that seemed like it would accept a sociopath like me and not ask more than I am willing to give.

Hah, I don't see an edit button. I can't believe I typed "here nor their" right after admitting to my self inflicted poor education! Ohh the irony.
