1. What games are you currently play/looking to play with TOG?

I've pre-ordered Aion and am following my sibling and their spouse to experience the fame. We were looking to be Asmodian but I'm open to either race. I plan on trying out chanter as I generally enjoy that type of class.

2. What was the first gaming console you own or pen and paper game you played?

First actual console was an old Atari with the old Breakout and space blaster type scrolling games. It wasn't until Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Playstation that I really got into console games such as Legend of Zelda and Final Fantasy series. I also got into some of the Wheel of Time MUDs (EoD right at end, Web of Destiny, Broken Seals) and eventually found MMO's with Final Fantasy XI.

I got into FFXI too late and my sibling and their spouse were too far ahead. By the time my spouse and I really got into the game they had already wandered to World of Warcraft. They eventually got me to try it out and while I preferred Final Fantasy as a game I made WoW home due to the people and guild they found there. I still have mixed feelings about leaving and will likely maintain a small presence but I just don't enjoy playing WoW much. I really enjoyed the shaman class and raiding until they kept changing it and making it repeating the same thing over and over and easier each patch. The style of the game and the majority of the player there just aren't what I enjoy as much as other fantasy games and Asian games in particular. The latest expansion has made things even less enjoyable to me and more repetitious and unsatisfying. I think I just need a change and I much prefer Fantasy style games so I think Aion will be a much better fit for me and more playable and sharing friendly than Final Fantasy XI.

For pen and paper, I got into 2nd Edition D&D and muddled around with a few others but mainly stuck to D&D. I also really loved Dragonlance.

3. Why do you want to join TOG?

I was referred by my sibling and their spouse who was referred by a fellow guild member on WoW. My sibling is Zyran. So I know Zyran, Misnik, and Kex. I'd much prefer to have a group of more mature players to experience the game and community with. One of my largest issues with WoW is the huge draw from young kids and the immaturity than runs rampant.

4. Tell us about yourself or anything else you'd like to share.

I've always been interested in games and tend to follow the style of games my sibling does and enjoy sharing the experience with their friends and our spouses. My husband also is a gamer although he is still uncertain about Aion at the moment. Our big problem right now is a schedule conflict as he works nights and I work days. I've been married for 8 years now, no kids, only cats. We tend to spend most of our free time playing RPG games and have been playing MMPORGs for the past several years together.

I live in the Greater Cincinnati region and work full time as a payroll manager. The stress of the job and payroll tax deadlines sometimes limits my game play. I would prefer to play casually for now as the raiding schedule from WoW just added to my stress and makes me feel guilty when real life gets in the way which I think is crossing the line a bit. So my schedule would likely be evenings right now and weekends. Evenings will be sporadic as I balance having a life. ^.^ However, I have a tendency to get addicted so I imagine a transition from casual to more serious will happen. My greatest limiting factor right now is not being able to play very much with my spouse due to the different work schedules so that cuts me back a bit.

I tend to enjoy support classes the most, playing a Red Mage (with WHM or BLM side job) in FFXI and Shaman (Restoration/Elemental) in WoW so I think Chanter will fit me best in Aion. I haven't had the opportunity to get into the betas yet so I may change my mind once I actually start playing as I can't say for sure just yet. However, even just seeing the game from my sibling who did play betas and what I've read online it attracts me more than any other game available right now.

I am not sure what else to add and think I'm rambling now, so that's about it. Thanks for listening.

I meant experience the game... not fame.. although I suppose being known as being a good player is some sort of fame and that is always nice. ^^;; Damn spell checkers and text running together. ^.~
