Application to join ToG
Hello to you all!
Well, as per your request/FAQ, here is my introduction thread and request to join ToG. What am I currently playing? Well, I work my way through many games, across several platforms, but the main game that remains a constant no matter what is always World of Warcraft. In addition to this I am now playing Champions Online, which is where I heard about yourselves. I've been there since Closed Beta, through Open and now in Early Access. Well - launch now too, I guess as it's retail day in the US today... I'm into pretty much any genre of gaming and currently play on PC (mainly), PS3, PSP, Wii and DS. First console - I remember having an Atari 2600 at one point, but I think this was acquired at a later age. The first main gaming machine I remember having was the Spectrum ZX81 with the rubber keys, and then this was upgraded to a 128k with the lightgun - oh, what a Christmas that was! Why do I want to join? To put it simply, I'm sick of the damn kids and immature fools that ruin online gaming these days. It's nice to find a mature group of people with similar interests - and people who understand what it's like to have a job and kids so you can't always game at all hours. I find the whole immature, 1337 attitude online from a lot of kids to be terrible, and their destruction of the English language is even worse. Maturity is a dying trait... So, a little bit about myself... I'm 28 (29 in just over two weeks), and live in Manchester, UK with my partner of almost 8 years and our two daughters, who are 6 and 9 months. I work in IT Support for a world leading company in security and fire protection/prevention, for their internal IT department - it pays the bills... I first got into MMO's with Guild Wars - back when I always said I would never pay a subscription fee to play a game. Now I play and/or beta test pretty much any MMO that hits the market. PC gaming is my main place, mainly because either the missus or the kids are using the TV, but after hours I may be on my PS3 or Wii, and also have PSP and DS. Anything else you want to know? Just ask. |

 Looks like you will fit in well here mate. Just sit tight a little bit longer and an Admin will be along with the TOG stick to give you a proper battering and access to the members forums.
