Balorn looking to join TOG
The reason I wish to join is that I’m getting too old to understand kids these days; I think SUP? means second dinner, and LMAO, LOL, CBF, DILLIGAF go over my head…no, no, no that’s not it!
One of my mates joined and said you had some sort of Blood Bowl league thing set up, and other cool ways of getting together with other grey beards playing games.
I started playing Game Workshop table top games in my 20’s, amassed a huge collection of painted models by my 30’s, tried some PC games and moved on to Playstation, graduated to PS2, collected 200+ games. Picked up the PC bug again in my 40’s and got sucked into WOW pre BC. Got a PS3 but found its games did not last long enough.
Now with all the jokes about 4 years to 50, I’m a dedicated PC gamer with a 16 to 24 hour a week addiction, fitting around family, work and the occasional weekend Vintage MC race.
I’m in Melbourne Australia, and after 3 years playing with US gamers I find it odd to hear an Aussie or NZ accent over vent.
I play WOW (Balorn on Dreanor PVE Alliance side and many others in guild TISM, I have 10 low lv toons in TISM on Thunderlords PVP Horde side) I was into raiding in pre and post BC days, just doing PVE and small groups in WOTLK.
I just moved my WAR toons to Gorfang for Order and Volkmar for Destro, the PVE is slow but the RVR/PVP is great fun.
I play EVE in a part time fashion, and have done so for a couple of years.
Getting into Blood Bowl online, and looking to hook up with a TOG league.
In my spare time (lol) I play Dawn of War, Witcher, Bioshock, Fallout 3, Hellgate (off line), Crysis, Warhammer Mark of Chaos, Company of Heroes, Command & Conquer 3, Warcraft III, Stargate, and IL-2.
Just had a look at AOC and found it looked really cool but lag in Australia made it hard to get the best out of the combat.
Looking forward to trying Aion.
I play most evenings during the week, early mornings & late evenings on weekends; and I have the best wife in the world as she also plays PC games and watches more sport and motor racing than I do, haha.
Cheers,
Balorn
