Greetings ladles and gentlespoons.

As per the title of the thread, im requesting approval to join The Older Gamers in the pursuit of eternal happines... or at the very least a good group of folks to game with.

Specifically, im keen to enter the realm of your rFactor bretheren. Ive been an avid sim racer ever since playing indianapolis 500 on my old 8086 w/ breathtaking CGA 4 colour graphics (should give some indication of how old i am lol) and recently picked up rFactor again (after a 12 month hiatus) to race with the TOG guys in the Thursday night fun cup, having seen them posting over on OCAU. Been racing with them for 2 or 3 months now and really enjoy the quality and spirit of the racing... as well as the friendliness of the crowd. My experiences with this motley crew are, i guess, my main reason for requesting membership here. Hopefully my behaviour (manners more so than pace lol) puts me in good steed to have this application looked upon favourably.

Having said this, ive got a few of the popular valve games (l4d, TF2) which i knock around with from time to time... but FPS isnt really my forte.

I commenced my console gaming experience with an Atari 2600... but was always a Sega man as the console wars raged throughout the 1990s (depsite the unnerving knowledge, deep down, that MKII was in fact... better... on... snes). Once i started PC gaming i never really considered going back to consoles...

Born and bred here in lil' old Adelaide, You'll most likely find me heating the GPU up on weeknights after a long day's work... weekends i tend to spend in no man's land with my trusty downhill bike (and one or two 'quiet ales' afterwards, im sure).

Ive probably rambled on for long enough now. Cheers for considering the application.
