Application - Gildred
Currently playing Champions and messing around a little in Eve. Looking forward to STO and Diablo 3. I may also be returning to LOTRO this fall if one of my buddies has his way. Man, that makes it sound like I play a lot.
First console was Atari. Didn't really get hardcore into games until Diablo came around though. Man, what a fantastic game ... *nostalgasm*. Used to play a ton of D&D 2E, 3.0, 3.5, etc. Probably still would if I could get all the guys together more than once or twice a year.
Looking to join TOG for a few reasons.
1. To game with people that understand what it's like to have real life demands cut into your game time, sometimes unexpectantly.
2. Would be the range of games you're all involved in. I tend to jump around and play in lots of different games (what's end-game?) so it'd be nice to have a consitent home regardless of the title I'm currently playing.
3. I despise PUGs.
4. I'm also not to crazy about pick-up-groups so I'm always on the hunt for a "mature" guild in any MMO I play. With TOG I suspect I'll always find some comrades who don't care that I'm a little less than "l33t".
5. To finally rid myself of "lolsauce," "wtfbbq," "roxorz," and other such BS in party or guild chat.
So a little about myself... 27, married, two kids, one human, one canine. During the day I manage an oilfield business so when I'm at home I like to goof off and pretend I'm still 14. I like to think I'm a more eloquent, less annoying version of a 14 year old but my wife would disagree. Our baby (the human one) is a little over 5 months now so I'm happy to report he's finally old enough for Transformers, slot cars, real metal Tonka's and trips to the rifle range. This makes me smile. Next week he'll be rolling his first Pathfinder character. I'm trying to talk him into Rogue/Fighter but he keeps picking the Druid. Come on, nobody plays a Druid.
Anyway, that's me and my TOG aspirations in a nutshell. Hope to see you all in-game.
