Hello Everyone,

I'm John, a relatively ancient fourty plus year old from Michigan.

I currently have active horde characters on WOW and have been contributing to Blizzard's earnings since 2004. I'm looking forward to playing Aion and have preordered the game.

My gaming interests go back to the paper and pencil days of TSR D&D, Traveller and Champions. I was lucky enough to have played with some great names in gaming at the old Detroit Gaming Center, including Erick Wujcik (R.I.P). I was never a huge console gamer, but loved my Atari 2600 and Colecovision. My first introduction to interactive computer gaming was Zork and was hooked on the series and MUDs in the 80's.

I cut my teeth on MMORPGs spending a fortune in hourly charges and phone bills playing Neverwinter Nights on AOL and cemented my addiction to online games with Ultima Online and Everquest. I was a guild officer in Dark Age of Camelot and was one of the unlucky gamers to try and play Anarchy Online in its first months.

I characterize my comitment as between casual and hardcore. I'm an easygoing person and enjoy the interaction and social camaraderie of MMOs. I'd like to join TOG because I'm hoping to find an active community of gamers that understand the balances and demands of real life while enjoying online time with a great bunch of friends, and TOG seems lke a fit.

Offline I am employed in sales, maintain interests in music, martial arts, pop culture, anime and the greatest hockey team in North America the Detroit Red Wings. If you're ever in the Detroit area or find me at a SCA event you're invited to sample some of my notorious homemade hard cider.
