[DONE] Old Guy for new fun! Champions Online with a little bit of WoW

Hi All

I am 45, living in Washington, DC area and very happy someone mentioned your sight. I didn't know there was such a large gaming community that wasn't still in diapers when I played on my first Pong gaming console back in the late 70s. I remember wonder how anything could beat the Pong game on our 9 in black and white screen tv. Guess times have changed, but new games still excite me and looking forward to meeting new people playing Champions Online.

Over the years I have played quite a few first person games but usually strayed into strategy games (C&C, Civ, etc). When City of Heros came out I was hooked and stayed up until issue 10 or so, but got a little burned out when Cryptic refused to increase the level cap. So, then moved to Guild wars, didn't like that much, and settled on WoW for the last year and half.

Currently have WoW account suspended while I am playing around with Champions Online. I started Champions Online in closed beta and enjoying the simple madness of leveling with cool new powers and actually getting a travel power at level 4.

Hoping to join The Older Gamers to meet new online friends while playing Champions and the possible return to WoW.

I have a great IT job and have a masters degree, but love a beer and good couple hours of gaming. I am calm, respectful, and love to help out when I can. I was an officer in both my WoW Guild and COH/COV SG as I was one to never lose my temper, was always helpful to other members, and never had a problem supporting the groups financially by paying for guildportal, vent servers etc.
