Default Interested in Osgiliath Guard membership

Greetings from Florida, USA.

My wife and I are avid fans of LOTRO and have been playing for about one year. We were actually introduced to the MMO genre by our daughter about two years ago, who got us involved in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean Online for a while. Once we'd been playing that game for some months we realized it was, to coin a phrase, a bit "Mickey Mouse" and started looking for something more mature.

We considered WoW but since I have been a Tolkien fan since my teens (which is a long long time ago) I wanted to give LOTRO a shot, and ... well, the rest is history.

We're both professionals (she manages a research facility, I'm an accountant), our children are grown and doing well, plus we have two grandsons (as of this writing, 8 and 10 years old).

Located in the USA eastern time zone we're online playing LOTRO most evenings of the week and as much as possible (i.e. day and night) over the weekend.

We each have multiple characters, with two 60's and various other levels ranging from the 20's to the 40's. We've accomplished some, but not all, of the high end raids (Hard Mode instances, the Turtle, but not the Watcher ... yet) and consider ourselves casual players although we do eventually want to experience it all.

We've been in a kinship where I've served as an officer, but it's been losing members to the point that it's no longer a viable grouping experience. As the membership dropped below twenty souls my wife, Katchy, moved to the Osgiliath Guard (she has been accepted as of a few days ago) and I'm only hanging in with our old Kin to help lay it to rest with some dignity.

I have no doubt I'll be following Katchy into her new kin, assuming of course that I'm accepted.

Greetings Grayman and welcome to TOG!

That's a great intro. I had the pleasure of chatting with Katchy the other day when she brought her army of characters into the kin.

Now that you are approved you can head on down to the LoTRO Forums and checkout what's going on. Be sure check the Start Here thread for all the info on who the Officers are, how to get a character into the kin, and links to various policies.

We understand that leaving your current kin is not the easiest thing, particularly if you have been an Officer, so take as much time as you need and we look forward to seeing you in-game for some good fun.
