Hi All

Please accept this post as my application to TOG

Who am I?

I am Sizu. A mid 30s Brit gamer. Originally from down south, but now settled in Edinburgh.

What do I play?

Started gaming back in the 80s with my original Wood Finish Atari 2600. A beast of a machine with lots of "arcade accurate"conversions such as Pacman, and Donkey Kong. I have to admit that my first game for the unit was ET. Please don't hold this against me, especially since I loved it. Afterwards like most Brit kids I ventured into the ZX Spectrum starting off with the rubber key 48k, and moving on to the Spectrum 128k.

The natural progression post Speccy was the Amiga 500 which I enjoyed for many years. It is hard to think back now at what my favourite game was on that system as it was blessed with so many good games. If I was put on the spot lets say Robocod

During my Amiga years I discovered Nintendo. At that point my gaming hobby changed dramatically. I became the "otaku" and started buying console games especially US and JPN Import games. Since purchasing my original UK Snes I have built up a massive collection of consoles, and games. I'm not going to list them all but here are my three old generation
favourites.

Super Famicom
White Saturn
Bio Hazard Blood Red Dreamcast (ltd edt jpn only)

Since the early 90s I have imported the majority of my games up to the last generation of xbox, gamecube,and ps2. Now with this generation and release dates mostly being identical to the US, plus the demise of the JPN influence in gaming I stick to buying Brit copies. Currently console wise I play on my xbox 360 more than my PS3.

I am also a fan of PC Gaming. My first PC was a 486dx which blew my mind due to wingcommander, strike commander and of course Tie Fighter. Since then I have upgraded my PC System on a regular basis and enjoy building and overclocking my own machines. I haven't upgraded in the past 18months as I've not felt I have had to. Traditionally the PC has been the home of my FPS gaming after starting playing online with Doom, and working my way through Quakeworlds, Quake 3, UT etc. It is also the platform of my other love - MMO gaming. I have enjoyed LOTRO, EQ2, SWG, and WOW so far.

That is it except a small list of games that I am looking forward to play online in the future.

I would like to join TOG so that I can enjoy gaming with gamers in my age bracket. I'm not being nasty but sometimes playing with kids is annoying especially tantrums online
