Dead
Smile App for TOG (CO & More?)

Heya TOG.

"What games are you currently play/looking to play with TOG?"

I have lifetime memberships for both Champions Online and Lord of the Rings Online. I'm very much into CO right now, since I'm a comicbook geek. I love LoTRo, but I am so burned out on fantasy MMOs that I'm loathe to log in. I expect to play the Star Trek Online beta as well.

I also occasionally play games like Left4Dead, Demigod, Bloodbowl and Warhammer RTSes.

"What was the first gaming console you own or pen and paper game you played?"

I guess my first console was the venerable 2600, although my grandparents had the Magnavox Odyssey˛ and I played that before I got my Atari. My dad picked up the 2600 at the Flea Market. That same year he also got me a used Atari Video Pinball system. My first NEW system was the Atari 5200. Since then I have owned: NES, Atari Lynx, Sega Genesis, Sony Playstation, Playstation 2, Xbox 360 and Wii.

More importantly, my first computer was an Apple II+, which we then replaced with a IIgs. I built my first gaming PC in 1988 or 89, I think. (IIRC, it was essentially an XT (808.) For a while, I ran both a Mac (work, art, life, some gaming) and a PC (strictly gaming). I've ditched the PC now, though and dual boot my Mac Pro to play PC games.

And even more importantly, my first Pen & Paper RPG was Dungeons and Dragons. Not AD&D… we're talking Basic and Expert books here. The boxed set. So, not as early as, say, Chainmail, but before it was being condemned for turning us all into Satan worshipers.

"Why do you want to join TOG?"

I like being in relaxed/casual guilds in MMOs and having a specific place to talk to mature gamers. I was a member of CoFR (Crusty Old Fossilrockers) back in the Halflife/Counterstrike days. (If any of you were there then, I was Kambei.) The premise of CoFR was to provide a mature FPS clan and servers for gamers seeking refuge from the kids. So, I found TOG from the Champions forums and it seemed to fit the bill for what I want…. and it spans multiple MMOs it looks like.

"Tell us about yourself or anything else you'd like to share."

I've blabbered on long enough already but you asked…

Real name is Chris. I'm 37. I live in the SF Bay Area with my girlfriend of several years and her kid. We just bought a house a couple of months ago, and even that didn't make me feel like a grown up. Regarding play time, with a more-than-full-time job and a family, I don't have a lot of it and it's rarely scheduled. It's usually later in the evening, or maybe briefly when I get home from work so I can unwind before dinner. Sundays is usually the day I can carve out a little more time.. depending.
