My sister-in-law would like to join but is unable to post here on the Barracks. She's registered for full membership with TOG, is able to log in, can go to the Barracks and read other people's threads, but when she clicks "Post New Thread" she gets the message: Juliedog you do not have permission to access this page.

Juliedog doesn't appear on the members list, http://www.theoldergamers.com/forum/.../list/j31.html. Was there a verification email that she had to follow a link from?

The status of the account is that it is awaiting email confirmation. Until the email is confirmed you are not able to post.

Can you please check the email address used when you signed up for the account for the activation link and follow that. Once the account is activated you will be able to post.

Thank you, Ulric. I've passed the information along to her and she's afraid she might have deleted the e-mail along with some of the dozens of spam messages she gets every day. At least, as of when she checked it last night there was no activating e-mail in her in-box.

I've suggested she revisit this site and simply go for it again and this time to be more cognizant of what's going to happen. Since I'm at work I don't know if she's done that yet but she loves playing LOTRO and is highly desirous of joining the Osgiliath Guard along with her sister and me.

Now that we know what the problem is we'll get it worked out. And again, thank you.

I registered a few hours ago and it took an hour or two for me before the confirmation email showed up (using gmail).

If she is unable to do so can you please ask that she log out of TOG and delete her cookies.
