TOG - The Older Gamers

Here's my application to join The Older Gamers.

I'm in my late fifties, so I think I qualify age-wise. Recently retired (missed the boat for Freedom 55, but got on board shortly thereafter). My children are grown and have more or less left home (at least for now). I live in Canada, where the winters are long and cold. In short, I have lots of time of my hands, so long as my wife doesn't have too many jobs for me to do at any one time.

Have been playing games ever since I can remember.... before the advent of computer games, was a pretty good cribbage and euker player. Also a fan of Risk. I guess the first electronic game I played was Operation, with my kids

. Next it was Nintendo... Mario Brothers, Zelda, etc. The first PC game I ever played was Ultima, followed by Myst, then Diablo.Used to play World of Warcraft a lot, till I decided to try out Age of Conan... which I've been playing for the better part of a year. Guilds are very important in this game, and I've been trying to find one that has mostly similar ages... hopefully, TOG will fit the bill.

As I said, I live in Canada (Ottawa). Although the TOG server is oceanic, hopefully the time issue can be overcome. I have been in touch with the guild leader on the Gwahlur server and understand that the guild there has almost completely disbanded. But hey, AOC is really a great game... hopefully, some others will back back or join up, especially with the expansion coming soon.

I'm a retired marketing communications specialist, who now spends spare time gardening, woodworking, some canoeing, and rescuing abandoned cats, when I'm not playing AoC. Hope to hear back sometime soon.
