Hullo Folks!

My name is John, and I'm a gamer/geek from NY. I'm married, have two kids (9 and almost 2) and play whenever the opportunity arises - which isn't as often as I'd like nowadays. I've been gaming since the days of Pong and I've had most of the consoles throughout the last few decades. My first love (aside from the wife and kids) is still PC games though, and I've built my own gaming rigs since my 486 back in the early 90s, though my current computer isn't exactly up to date (again going back to the kids and a wife in grad school). I've played MMORPGs since the heady days of MUSHs and MUDs back in the days of the dial up BBS, and have played most of the big ones - UO, EQ, SWG, WOW, DAoC, E&B, AO, WAR, DDO, LotRO, and a bunch of others I can't think of right now. I'm currently playing Fallen Earth (or "FE" to stick with the abbreviations) after getting in to it in the last week or so. I kind of hesitated because of its steep system requirements (at least for me), but I have it running pretty well on my old, single core, Athlon64 3000+ - overclocked to 2.4GHz.

I'd like to join TOG because I've been looking for a mature, respectful group that understands that there is more to life than just gaming - but has a lot of fun when they do. TOG seems to fit that bill.
