Hi there, my name is Dave. I am 33, have been into games since I was 4.
My first games device, which you would have to call it that, was a Hanimex. It looked like a brick with a dozen switches on it and had an additional "controller" which was really just a dial you turned. It had maybe 10 variations of pong to play and was only in black and white. Or perhaps that was our tv.. I currently own and use, PS2, PSP and obviously a PC. Occasionally i borrow my brother's PS3 too.
This year I've played a lot of LOTRO, COD4, GTA4, Dead Space, and when i want some real combat I go back to my old favourites, BF2 and BF2142. In the last two weeks I tried Champions Online and found it to be a lot of fun. An open world with flying abilities! Awesome. I own close to 200 games and still I buy more.
One of the things that keep me playing LOTRO is that my kinship is mainly older gamers, which i find are generally more respectful of other players. In BF2 you can really tell who the less mature players are. They are not as patient, less likely to play as a team and they generally spam the chat screen. I'm sure you know what I mean.
Anyway, have fun today and I hope to see you in game. Cheers.
