Hi everyone,

I'm writing this to apply for full TOG membership. I'm a 36 year old software testing engineer from Stockholm, Sweden, working in the gaming (as in gambling) industry. I'm just about to start playing Lord of the Rings Online, and my friend and TOG:er maddogmoffit pointed me here. LotRO in general and TOG in particular would seem like the perfect place for to find more emotionally mature gamers to join in with. In the future, I might also be looking to play Civilization IV and Hearts of Iron III PVP.

I'm a table-top roleplaying veteran (on and off) of 25 years, starting with Red-box Basic D&D and 'Drakar och demoner', the Swedish-language version of Basic Roleplaying, as well as a board- and wargamer (including, for instance, World in Flames and Advanced Squad Leader). I have, in fact, never owned a console; rather, I've been a PC gamer all from the mid-eighties. To add to my nerd credentials, I'm the chairman of the Tolkien Society Forodrim (estd. 1972), although I'm not a Tolkien purist by any stretch, and prefer writers such as George R.R. Martin and China Miéville.

Well, I hope that will be sufficient!
