Default Membership application (currently Champions Online)

Hey folks!

I'm Shadowheart and I'd like to apply for membership of this fine guild here. But first, some things about myself.

I'm 32 years old, married, and got two lovely little girls, one 2 years old, the other 3.5 years old. Together with being a fulltime engineer this leaves me little time to play games anymore (at least not as much as I'd like to have ). That's why I'm looking for a relaxed group of players who know, that for some people RL has priority over ingame life...

I'm not quite sure when my real gaming career started, I was playing Amiga and C64 games at a friends place, but the first real machine at our place was an 8086 XT with a monochrome screen. I really started playing games when I found out about Sierra. I was really hooked on the whole space quest series for example. Since then the PC was more or less a constant companion. It was joined by several consoles along the way, currently I own an Xbox360 (which I only use for guitar hero) and a PS3.

I started playing MMOs in 1997, when I found out about UO. Since then I've played DAoC, EnB, Shadowbane and CoX, and now moved on to Champions Online. I played those games together with another guild, but they are mostly Americans. Me being in the central European timezone does not really match they're schedule, and with the kids and all it was increasingly difficult to find a group to play together. I read on the stickies that you have people living in all timezones, so I hope that problem would be solved

To make matters worse, I don't just play computer games, I'm also still an active pen&paper fan. Currently I'm playing in a group of Vampire (the dark ages as well as masquerade) and in a group where we play Warhammer40k. Apart from gaming I have also several other hobbies: reading books, playing the accordion, piano and the guitar and singing in a choire.

I think that about sums it up. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask

Regards, Shadowheart
