[DONE] Application through Champions Online

Hey everyone. I found my way here while playing Champions Online while browsing the supergroup forums. Champions Online is my second MMO. I've been raiding in World of Warcraft since the early days of Molten Core. I still raid in a 10 man strict guild with some friends from college two nights a week.

I just turned 30, and while I still feel very young, I understand that I can be considered kind of old in gamer terms. I played an Atari 2600 when I was a kid and my family's Apple IIGS when they got one. One year, my parents made me a deal that if I saved my allowance and didn't spend any money for a year they'd get me a Nintendo with the money I'd saved and pay for a few games to go with it. I've been a gamer ever since.

I'm also a table-top gamer, having started in junior high. I jumped into a D&D game in college and ended up meeting my future wife, as well as some of my best friends. So I've always enjoyed gaming and gaming's been good to me.

I was looking to join TOG from the Champions Online side, as this has looked like a good fit. I like games, but I prefer to treat them as games and not as something else. They're fun and a good way to socialize with people that have similar interests. And from my browsing of the supergroups so far in Champions, this looks like my best bet to play with people of my age bracket.

Thanks for looking my application over. I've raided on alliance side in warcraft as Mombo, so that's my nickname that I grabbed, but my level 40 character in champions is Velvet@VanGoethe. (VanGoethe was a shadowrun character I made years ago and liked. He was pretty silly, though I can imagine that the sig might paint my persona as a little different than it is. Mombo's more accurate)
