[DONE] Wish to Join TOG

Hi there everyone! My name is Jeremy, also known as Jmo as a nickname, and I wish to join The Older Gamers. Ever since I heard about TOG over a year ago, I couldn't wait to get involved in the community here. When it comes to my MMO Gaming hobby, I prefer to be around a mature, likeminded community of gamers, and I feel that TOG will well suit that. I could not apply here in the past, as I was not 25 yet, but today being my 25th Birthday, here I am! =)

What games do you play?:

What don't I play? I currently have active subscriptions to World of Warcraft and Fallen Earth, but I like to delve into games such as CoD:MW2, L4D2, and other shooter and online games. I also have a lifetime subscription to Champions Online and LotRO. I'm always trying out the new games, and am waiting in anticipation for the release of The Old Republic.

What was the first gaming console you own or pen and paper game you played?

My first gaming console was an Atari 2600 that my parents owned. When I was 5, I recieved my first NES as well, and by second grade I was introduced to a Pentium 1 486sx Computer running Windows 3.1 and DOS. I've been a gamer, particularly PC gamer, ever since.

As for Pen and Paper, I play Dungeons and Dragons extenisvely in High School with a group of friends, as well as dabbling a bit in Vampire: The Masquerade.

Why do you want to join TOG?

Simple. TOG is known to be a mature community of older, like-minded gamers. Not a bunch of teens and tweens. I believe I would fit in well here. I am married and have a full time job, with less and less time to game as the years go on. Sister Julie of the No Prisoners, No Mercy site and podcast told me about TOG a little over a year ago, and I checked out the site then. Since then I've had a reminder near my PC to head back over here on my Birthday and apply.

Tell us about yourself or anything else you'd like to share.

Most of this is probably repeated, and some if it is new, but here goes!

I'm 25 and married. I have no kids yet, but hope to some day. I'm a restaurant manager who works usually 60-65 hours per week, and I love Gaming, particularly MMOs. I prefer to surround myself with a mature and like-minded community of gamers, who have similar lifestyles. I'm not hardcore. While I used to be, those days are gone. I like to game to have fun, and not as a second job. While I still love raiding, I only do so 1-2 days a week at max.

I'm also a blogger and a podcaster, and I hope to be a published author some day. I am an admin at MMOVoices (mmovoices.ning.com), which is a social network for MMO Gamers, Podcasters, and Bloggers. I am the host of the sites official podcast as well. I strive for knowledge, and love interacting on an intellectual level with others. Flamers and trolls need not apply. I also believe I have a great sense of humor, and have no problems at all taking a joke. In fact, I encourage it. =)

Other than that, I am pretty much an open book. If anyone has any questions for me, please feel free to ask. I won't bite, I promise!
