Application
Well, where to begin?
My name is Brian, I'm 35 years old, married, with one daughter about 20 months old. I live in Pennsylvania, so my playtime is usually between 8-11pm EST on weeknights, though not every night, and sporadically during the weekends.
I've been playing for as long as I can remember, starting with the Atari 2600. When I was 10 years old, I got my first computer: a Commodore64. Thanks to gaming, I learned all about computers which led to me working with computers now as an "adult".
Besides all the Atari games, the standout game from my youth is Wasteland. Of course, when NES came out, the Atari and C64 were left behind. NES led to Genesis, SNES, etc... I stayed loyal to Commodore and bought an Amiga which I used until my first year of college when I got my first PC, a 386.
Now, I'm playing PC and Xbox360, with a little PSP and whatever is loaded on my Iphone at the moment.
BUT here's my problem. I'm just about fed up with the state of multiplayer games. I gave up Xbox Live about 2 years ago and I'm about to give it up on the PC. I'm referring to the player community itself. I heard of tOG a while back, and decided just now to try it out as my one last chance to find a decent community. I'll still be gaming, but I'm just about ready to limit myself to single-player offerings.
Right now I'm trying to decide between Fallen Earth and EVE Online as my MMO. Even EVE, which I thought would attract a more mature user base, is victim to the same inane chatter and griefing (not the good PvP kind) that XBL is plagued with. Fallen Earth is slightly better only because it's not as popular.
I'd actually like to get into XBL again, there are some good games coming out I'd like to try, but those "pick-up" games that I've been subjected to have soured me to giving it another try.
