Hello,

I first heard about TOG through the Bind On Equip podcast. I finally decided to apply for membership because the group of friends I had been playing WOW with has kind of dispersed due to jobs/kids/real life and I miss having that camaraderie online. MMPOGs aren't as much fun without the MP part. I'm hoping to find a few friends with similar interests & gaming schedules to run with.

I've been playing games of one sort or another for a very long time. Paper-wise I played D&D on & off from junior high through college. I then moved on to boardgames (e.g. Settlers, Carcassonne, Dominion). My first console was an Atari 2600, and I have since owned the NES, SNES, N64, PS2, and Wii, where I currently enjoy playing Rock Band. Someday I might graduate from Medium to Hard on the drums.

I've played PC games since the days of the Apple II and my favorites were always RPG (Bard's Tale, Eye of the Beholder) and RTS (Dark Reign, Warcraft 1 - 3). While I still like RTS games, pretty much all of my PC gaming time lately has been devoted to WOW. I played through free trials of City of Heroes & City of Villains but WOW's fantasy setting really grabbed me and hasn't let go.

I live & work in the Chicago suburbs with my wife & four kids, so my gaming is mostly done in the evenings, 8pm-12am Central Standard Time (0200-0600 GMT). My main & primary alts are all on the Burning Blade server (search the Armory for Cyrle) but I'd be willing to start a new toon on another server to level up with a group or possibly transfer to join a group already working on end game stuff.
