TOG - The Older Gamers

Greetings,

"What games are you currently play/looking to play with TOG?"

I have lifetime memberships for Lord of the Rings Online, Champions and Star trek Online. I have been primarily focused on Lotro but with the opening of STO I am looking to split my time being a life long ST fan.

"What was the first gaming console you own or pen and paper game you played?"

Well... my first gaming was really AH board games (note the Older moniker really does apply to me) but my first RP experience was Empire of the Petal Throne. (Bonus points if you have heard of it, triple points if you have played it.) This was the second PnP RP game out after D&D. But shortly thereafter I found a D&D group and it was all down hill after that. My first electronic gaming was on a Apple II playing the Ultima series, after that I moved on to a 386 PC and Civilization (one). While I have nothing against consoles I have never had time for one. Too many MMOs not enough time...

"Why do you want to join TOG?"

This group come highly recommended by a rl friend and I am looking for a relaxed group of mature gamers to play with in STO. I enjoy being in a good guild of fun people to share stories and help others level/quest/instance.

My rl name is Ron and I live in the SF bay area with a Wife of ten years and cat that likes to sit in my lap and press random buttons on the keyboard at critical times. I am a long time MMO player starting with Ultima Online and continuing through EQ, AC, Daoc, WOW, and Lotro. (with dabbling in many others along the way.) I prefer to be the healer or secondarily the Tank. In STO I am looking to play a Engineering officer in a big fat cruiser. I enjoy PvE and Realm vrs realm/Battle grounds. Open PvP, not so much.

What can I spend my points on (having "visited" Tekumel)? Still have some of the books and my old AH board games in the garage. Plenty of us at that end of the age spectrum

Welcome to TOG anyway - a Mod should be along to do the formal stuff in a bit. You can then pop down to the STO and LOTRO forums and sign up for the appropriate Fleet and Kinship.
