greetings all
 I'm not big on Forum chatting so please bear with me as far as the lingo goes. 40 this year & I have discovered that I'm not a kid anymore.... OUCH! no longer can I drink 4 bottles of Japanese Saki & party the night away. no longer can my reflexes compete with the kids online with their console games. and the injuries I had as a kid that my dad said would one day bother me... well they bother me. but I recently discovered BF2142. I got it from one of my clients who is about 20 yrs my senior. He hated it so gave it to me. I LOVE IT! I have played on some of the servers that seem to have a lot of kids playing and apart from them being way too quick for me, most seem to need a good spanking & have there mouthes washed out. talk about rude!! I found a TOG server & suddenly it was fun to play again. players looked out for each other even if you were not teamed up with them. this was a community I liked to play with, so here I am finally joining up. there is a lot I still need to learn, like so many slang words used in the game. is there some where that there is a dictionary of gaming terms? even the rules on the game sites baffle me a bit. like what is shield stressing? I guess I will work it all out with time. anyway. I'm just glad there is a place for gamers like me that still have a C64 stashed in the garage.
