Default My introduction to TOG

Hi to all!

First of all sorry for my bad english.

As you see my nick is Habos, somtimes used the H4b0s to. Before a month ago I entered the 40 club. :P
I'm a passionate gamer when my work/family/time allows it.
My first contact with PC's was around 1983 when i bought my C64. Never forget that joy when I first loaded my first game from the tape. Hehe even remember the screwdriver and the tape hade aligment problems and of course the turbo loader.
My favorite game was Elite on C64. Also I slowly began to dive into basic and assembly.
After C64 I bought an Amiga (not sure about the year but think it was around 1987). That was a hell of machine after C64. My first encounter with a mice. :P Better graphics, better sound, more memory, better games more challenges in programing. I had lot of fun with it.
Finally in 1990/91 i bought my first PC. The 486dx. Diffrent platfom new challenges. I remember loading doom and comanche. I was amased. Also my first windows 3.1 experince. And of course the autoexec.bat and config.sys tweaking.
As time goes my PC also undergone some changes and now I have 2 q6600 machines both with 4gb memory, one with 285gtx runing windows 7 x64 (my gaming rig) and one with 8800gt runing linux (my multimedia pc).
Played COD4 a lot but never was a member of any clan. Also done a few games with COD5, COD6, crysis, far cray2 but didn't enjoy that much. Now I'm playing BF:BC2 beta and I'm having lot of fun. The game is awesome.
Also I like the SupremeCommander series and looking forward for the new game.
I live in Serbia, my mother language is hungarian but I speak serbian almost at same level. In shool learned german, english learnad by myself.
Unfortunatly becouse of the problems in this country my online gaming experience only begins after the year 2000 where we get some ISP that provided decent internet access. Now I have an adsl line 4mbit/256kbit that is more then enough for online game.
I work in a spedition as programmer mostly doing pascal (delphi) and c# programing needed for our firm and some database stuff.
I'm happy that I found out The Older Gamers community with ppl around my age and looking forward to be part of it.
