Hello all,

I found this site through a link on another web page (I think it was the Gamespot site). I am very interested in joining up as a full member after reading through as much as I could on the site! First a little info about me:

• Games you are currently playing or wish to play with TOG: On the PC I play a lot of Dawn of War at the moment but do enjoy most FPS and RTS. Quake 3 still rocks at a LAN party! I own a PS2 with about 40 games but looking to upgrade to a PS3 and wanted some more info on good Online Multiplayer games for it. Fave game on the PS2 at the moment is God of War 2. Still trying to beat it on God mode.
• Information about yourself: I am 27 years old, have a lovely wife (who refuses to be classified as a gamer despite playing her DS more than I play anything!) for the last 5 years, have a cute 2 year old daughter, I live near Newcastle (Wangi Wangi) New South Wales, Australia where I work as an electrical engineer around the mine sites up the Hunter Valley. I love playing video games (of course), reading (nearly finished The Bourne Supremacy and The Night Watch at the moment), playing tennis, watching movies, making gadgets and hi-fi speakers and amps. Most of all I love spending time with my wife and daughter.
• Information about your gaming history (i.e. first gaming console, or pen and paper game, etc): I can't remember the first console I played (C64 I think) but the first one that I remember spending any time on was a NES. This followed by my parents getting a Sega Master System 2. Since that time I have played nearly every gaming console that has come out, either by owning it or playing a friends'. I also used to have a large collection of old gaming consoles (Ataris, C64, Intellivision amongst others) before my mum made me get rid of them years ago. My fave console so far is the PS2 but I haven't yet owned a current gen console to make a fair call on that. I have consistently played games on the PC over the years but do prefer sitting in my comfy chair in front of the big screen playing consoles.
• Why you'd like to join TOG: Once I read what this site was about I thought I want to join this! This is exactly what I have been looking for. Somewhere I can go to play games where all are in the same boat as me.
• Anything else you'd like to share: I can't think of anything at the moment but that may change!

I forgot one thing! I play some nights during the week and nearly every weekend at some point in time.

In answer to your question I work for a company called Multiskilled Resources. We are an engineering consultancy firm that is based in Newcastle but works anywhere in Oz. I do most of my work at Mt Thorley Warkworth Mine and Coal Prep Plants. These are owned by Coal and Allied, who in turn are owned by Rio Tinto.
