Hey all! I am psyched to have found this group. I just hit the 40 mark this year and have been searching high and low for a group of gamers that are a bit older but that also maintain a real life away from their keyboards! I am first and foremost a full time husband and father of two young boys (4 and 2) who are my life. When I have time for myself though I'm in front of the computer or the X-Box working on my carpal tunnel. I typically stick on one game at a time and right now my focus is squarely on Champions Online. Somehow, despite my fierce alt-oholism, I managed to bring my Powered Armor toon - Steel Sentinel - up to level 40 but I've also got a whole stable of other toons ranging from level 2 to maybe 25. I was a devotee of CoX before CO started and played that game from the beta as well.
I've been playing games since my parents brought home that first PONG console back in the day, but the first machine I can really remember being addicted to was the 2600. Combat, and Breakout... man, those were the days! Alongside that was my C-64 which included my first forray into the Internet and online gaming. I was also playing a ton of P&P games at the time too. D&D (of course), Champions, GURPS, Call of Cthulhu, Car Wars, and I'm sure a bunch others that I'm forgetting now.
I'm originally an east coast guy - born in Mass / raised in CT but I'm firmly entrenched in Arizona now. I've basically been here since I came out in '87 to go to school at the U of A. I'm home with my kids during the days and work a 3rd shift job doing technical support for GoDaddy.com. I get most of my gaming in while my kids are either out at a friends or down for their naps.
