I'm a long-time gamer, dating back to a ZX-81 with the wobbly 16k memory expansion pack and piles of magazines with programs to type in. (Ah, the memories... and the trauma when the wobbly expansion pack wobbled, followed by extended periods of re-typing)
These days I'm a dedicated PC gamer, currently taking a break from playing WoW, having dabbled in Star Trek Online (my engineering cruiser captain has reached admiral, and I'm playing around with a tactical escort captain while I pass the last few days until the free 30-days that came with the game finish) and briefly dallying with Allods Online (until the recent cash store 'incident' left me with a bad taste in my mouth over the game), and have just picked up Age of Conan (ebgames was clearing out old stock) to have a look.
In the past month I've also played through Mass Effect 2 and Bioshock 2, and am currently waiting for my copy of Aliens vs Predator to arrive in the post (quite looking to having a play, and hoping it's as much fun as AvP2 lan play used to be).
In days past I tended to stick to offline play of single player games between extended MMO sessions, but after my WoW raiding guild dissolved (and most of the people I were spending time with drifted apart) I've been branching out and are looking to find new people to game with, and after hearing reference to TGO on an old Twisted Nether podcast (with the Bind on Equip members) thought this might be an option worth exploring (especially now I'm trying to broaden my gaming horizons outside WoW).
I'm also an infrequent blogger, originally just about WoW but I've since been commenting on my exploration of other MMOs. My blog, One Of These Alts, can be found at:
