Hi!

I am 38 years old player from icy north. I started playing roleplaying games in 1984 with D&D and MERP. We have played since. Now we play D&D online with maptool. (Our GM is living in New York).

I started to play LOTRO 2,5 years ago. I joined my first kin then, but now it is quite short of blood. I am looking for a new kin. As I am a bit from the older side I would want to know more about The Order of Gilthoniel, which is as I understand, a kin for a more "experienced" players.

I am (of course) a big fan of Tolkien. Actually been for some 30 years. I assume that this kin knows more about Middle-Earth than my 14 year old kinmembers

I can't tell whether you have actually applied to join TOG or are just asking for some in so please bear with me

If you have applied to join then when a Moderator approves your app you will be able to pop down to the LOTRO forums and ask questions and/or request a invite to the kinship.

If you just want to know more about our EU Kinship (we have one on a US server as well) then feel free to drop me a /tell on any of my toons. I am most likely to be on Eofric or Hengin for the next few days.

As for knowing about Tolkien then it varies. We have members of at least 1 Tolkien society in the kinship right the way across to people that just enjoy the game. There were at least a few of us that got excited recently at spotting our first Umbarrim
