Hi folks,
So I stumbled across this site after being informed about TOG over on the Aion Sourcre boards. Having just started out in Aion again ( I must add, I quit last Nov but I'm willing to give the game another blast!) I'm looking to hook up with a casual, mature (if somehwta daft) Legion to socialise in while I play. Like most older (veteran?) MMO players my hardcore days have somewhat passed since Work and Priorities barged through the door and hit me over the head with the wake-up hammer. So all I'm looking for is a bunch of guys and girls to hang with and chat while we make our way through those dastardly levels.
Apart from this though, your community here seems like a nice idea and is definitely something I welcome as it's always nice to have a 'home-base' where one can talk about games and hook up with people when new games arrive ect. For any European members I post quite a lot on the EDGE boards (Gaming mag) so that's where the meat of my gaming knowledge and satire arrives from, as for me? Well I'm a 27 year old guy just taking it one day at a time. Currently, I'm living in the south of Ireland and working as a Web Designer come practicing lunatic and I've no real idea whats next for me, but we'll deal with that as it comes eh. I like to dabble in tom-foolery and more often that not I become the victim of my own jokes but I guess that's what some would call justice :P - Countries I've resided in would included Holland, The States and of course Ireland - I must say Bostonian's are an awesome bunch!
As for my gaming, well been playing since I was old enough to wield a controllers, and I've been actively playing MMOs since FF XI launched in Europe in 2004. I guess like a lot of people my fondest memories are of the Nes, Snes days and games like Secret of Mana and the early Legend of Zelda games. Typically I'm a competitive gamer, but this has come to exclude MMOs of late as I just don't' have the time necessary to compete in them 100%.
My current weapon of choice is Street Fighter IV and I try to attend tournaments as they come, but as with most things, Work tends to put a big dent in 100% activity within that scene. I'd love to waffle on more but I've quite a bit of work to get through this morning, so thanks for reading and hope to see you soon
Regards,
Gar
