Hello! I'd like to apply for a position at The Older Gamers, LLC.
My resume, you will find, is substantial. My first MMO was Everquest, which I played for approximately 20 minutes before realizing that my Mac running a Windows emulator would never keep up. Failure.
Happily, that machine caught fire. Instead of purchasing another expensive Mac, I built a PC to record music and play games. I joined City of Heroes in the beta stage in 2004. When the game launched, I founded an RP SG known as CCCP (Coalition of Communist Crusaders for the Proletariat), a light-hearted Soviet spoof (my toon is the one holding the flag at the
website). We incorporated our ingame RP with online prose. Ultimately I befriended a writer ingame, who turned out to be fantasy author Mercedes Lackey. Fun ensued. I played for years before tiring of the game mechanics and dropping out. A novel series loosely tied to a few of our characters is slated to be published this year, though I dropped out of that too! What am I thinking?
Mostly that my health is suffering and I need to simplify my life. MMOs are a gentle way to do so. And TOG looks to be an ideal organization to find likeminded folks.
That's about it. I'm ingame as @fuzzferatu, probably playing one of my retro toons.
