Hello all
What a relief to finally find somewhere like this online.

My name is Jeremy or Jez or Jem. I am a 48 yr old oldie/newbie who has been mucking around with computers since the late 70s, early 80s. I've learnt basic, cobol, fortran, pascal and all those really useful languages.
My favourite early computer was the Amiga 500, upgraded to the 2000! Yippee!! Some great games then.
I'm a surfie dude up Byron way in northern New South Wales, Australia. Don't have a full time job at the moment so am looking to use my spare time to do those things I have been meaning to do for years.
I have a wife and 2 kids so I don't know how much time I will be spending playing games online, nor if my wife will approve much (lol). Yes, I do still love her!

Just got broadband last month for the first time ever. I have been meaning to look into mmos and other online gaming for years, but have either been restricted by lack of broadband, too scared, too shy, or too damn reluctant to face the "younger generation" and get smashed or abused as a "noob".

I like playing sports sims (soccer/football, golf, racing) and fps. Would love to try my hand at squad stuff but found it all a bit daunting.

So, I am a newbie to online gaming and am looking for a VERY gentle introduction.
