Hello all!
Hello all. My real name is Steve.
I am currently play Lord of the Rings online, pretty heavily actually.
Probably will play Star Wars TOR when it comes out later on down the line.
My gaming life started from when I was very young, my father had an Atari 2600. The first real console I owned as a kid was a Mega Drive. Spent countless hours playing Sonic 2. Good times.
PC gaming started at around the same time. My main enjoyment on the pc has always been strategy, playing endless hours of Simcity and Civilization.
Over the last few years I've gone through Playstation, Dreamcast, PS2 and now PS3.
Have been mainly console gaming for the past couple of years, the PS3 is an awesome machine.
But then I found out (rather late) that there was a LotR MMO, and I had to try it. I've now been playing pretty solidly for about 2 months, my main character (Hamle) is level 47.
The reason I want to join TOG is pretty much for the reasons that are in the faq. I stayed away from WoW even when I had friends playing because I really don't like playing with people that think that gaming is the be all and end all.
I play for fun, to relax, I have enough to worry about IRL, gaming is an escape.
Anyhow, I am in a kin on Elendilmir in Lotro currently, and that sort of thing is starting to emerge, there has been a new leader recently and the focus has shifted from casual to everything is super serious. No thanks.
I have noticed the Osgiliath Guard people wandering around, and I meant to check this kin out.
One of my friends from my current kin mentioned that she was a member here and had played in Everquest and AoC, and was going to join TOG in Lotro also.
So here I am!
I should just say, I don't want to suggest I am not interested in end game or raiding and what not, I very much am, but I want to do it for fun. I'm not going to get upset or angry if we fail, failing and trying again is half the fun!
