First of all hello

I am a New Zealander that has recently moved to Melbourne Australia and am finding the increased internet and technolgy a very good thing!

I have been gaming since I was 9 years old (35 yrs old now) with my first games being Joust and Space invaders on my Atari system.

I then graduated to the Amstrad 464 (green screen) where I played many games, some notable ones would be commando (I never had the C64 ) and Jet Set Willy!. I also made my own adventure games using basic programming which my friends played.

I was then given an Amiga and loved this machine, Wings and Elite, being some of my favourite games but having so many like Meglomaniac, Sim City, Turrican, Fighter Bomber, Falcon and hundreds more I was truly sold on gaming at this point.

I graduated from that to PC where I enjoyed the early games like Champions of Krynn, and its 2 expansions, Pools or Radiance, and its following games, many Eye of the Beholders, and of course Doom, Doom2, Hexan, and Hexan 2, then I moved into Simulators like Falcon, and Mechwarrior and Red Baron 3D..

When I hit Red Baron 3D I was introduced to gaming online and enjoyed many long and exciting Great War campains (these were the best run online events I have been involved in , I think they might even still run them now and then!). Kiwi connections were an issue at the time modem to the US was not great but there was nothing better in NZ. I was so into gaming with friends I had made online that I stayed with it and ventured into coutless games online like Mechwarrior 2,3, Mercs, and finally I made it it the FPS world from Doom to Battlefield 1942 this was such a fantastic game it held our attention for a very long time.

I have played so many games its hard to remember them all, I enjoy all platforms and regularly play my Xbox, Wii, and PS but PC gaming is my preferred platform of course. I have played in compeditive teams, and run gaming clans. I find now however I like to just enjoy myself and do what every is needed without the added responsablities of running the show.

I have heard of TOG many years ago and always thought it would be a great place to be gaming, and now I find my timezone lets me down with my old friends being 2hrs behind in NZ.

I play many different types of games, and have recently been back to some online FPS fun in BFBC2 PC

I look forward to hearing further reguarding my application to become a full member of The Older Gamers Community.

Thanks
