Cool /me raises hand

Hello,

Some would say I generally say I have little problem talking about myself but yet I find I'm finding it difficult to introduce myself properly so if I wander off into the woods here, sorry.

I was turned on to TOG by a forum post over in the Mortal Online forums. That being said, that is my current game of interest.

My application to TOG is the desire to be part of something lasting. I've played various MMOs over the years but found it hard to develop long lasting relationships as my commitment to family and real life make my play time unpredictable and henceforth less desirable to many guilds. I've had some success for short periods of time but in most cases the relationships die off because they are small, transient groups that can't survive the perils of real life long term. TOG seems to be a place where I could be a part of something even when I don't have time to be a part of something today.

My MMO experience entails UO, EQ, SWG, WoW, AION and probably at least one or two I've forgotten. I'm also a veteran FPS player dating back to 80-100 hours a week Quake marathons (I was a lot younger then). Let us not forget modem to modem Doom as well.

Video gaming has always been a large part of my life and I practically grew up in the early video arcades of the eighties. I've been a console junkie all my life and currently own fully functional Atari 2600, 5200 and 7800 systems as well as Intellivision, Colecovision, NES, SNES, Wii, Xbox 360 and a second generation Pong console (you know, that takes D-cell batteries). For the more serious side, my Commodore VIC20 and C64 systems run great but it is getting very hard to find floppy disks for the 1541 disk drives.

Ok, I've spent enough time geek bragging. Thanks for the consideration. Hope I can contribute.
