Greetings Everyone!
I've been referred over after looking into a mature and active guild on Fallen Earth. So, here and I am and here is "who" I am:
I'm with MMOSanctuary.com, a community and news site focused on gamers' opinions in all forms of online gaming. I've played just about every MMORPG since I entered the genre in 2000 with the original Everquest. Before that I did programming for (and played of course) MUD's, mostly DIKU/ROM-based. My first console games were back on the Atari, with games like tanks and pole position (even though the Atari originated a little before my time).
I'm also a huge pen & paper D&D fan and have been playing since the early 90's. I'm still part of a casual table-top group today. We get together rather regularly and have played a variety of campaigns from AD&D, to D20 Modern, to World of Darkness.
I'm currently playing Fallen Earth and Champions Online as my main MMORPG's. I also enjoy playing single-player PC games like the Civilization Series, Elder Scrolls, Dragon Age, and other RPG's. I often split additional time between other MMO's as we keep up with news, updates, expansions, etc. But I always have a main game or two I focus on.
What drew me to TOG is the prospect of a consistent group of mature, fun, and friendly players to socialize with and have an active role with in the games I play. Without the MMO part of MMORPG's, it's just a single-player game and you might as well just play Elder Scrolls. I enjoy the socialization aspect, teaming up with others for in-game accomplishments, and of course helping out those who need it. It's a Geek mentality, but it's rewarding to help out others in game. It's part of the Geek Brotherhood!
So that's the "short" story. I'm sure you'll all end up learning a lot more about me (and maybe more than you originally intended, hah). I look forward to your response! Thank you, and GAME ON!
