Default TOG Application BFBC2 - BlackKn|ght

Hi all,

Since getting BFBC2 on PC a month ago I have been loving it, but it's just not the same without the comradery that comes with playing with clan-mates. I've played with TOG members in the past in games like BF2, ArmA/2 and COD4 and they have always seemed like good gamers, so here I am to hopefully join the ranks.

My first introduction to games, apart from D&D on paper, was a VIC20 and C64. This was of course a long time ago but the addiction persisted and I soon progressed onto Atari 500/2000s, 486DX25, 686 *shudders* and the usual range of early 086s, Pentiums and the stray AMD.
Some of the first games I remember well are flight sims like Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe, FPS's like Doom, and Duke Nukem and of course Half Life - I played CS when it was still beta and Desert Combat was something I played a lot.

I am a realism nut when it comes to FPS games and started with Operation Flashpoint, Armed Assault and ArmA2, all played with a clan I helped found, (AACF). Even got into the modding side by making a few sound mods for ArmA/2. BF1943, BF2142, BF2+Project Reality, and COD4 are a few of the others I played.

I'm not generally the quickest shot out there but having played ArmA with a lot of former and current ADF and OS military gamers has helped me to think on the virtual battlefield in terms of situational awareness. In BFBC2 I tend to prefer being a support player, like a medic and would rather defend a flag than capture one, repair a tank or APC rather than drive it onto a flag like a wayward tourist.

Having just moved from Canberra to Narooma in sunny south-coast NSW I have a little more time on my hands and love to de-stress from studies and writing by applying the defibrilator paddles to teammates and enemies alike I have TS3 also and enjoy not using the Carl Gustav on foot mobiles, instead I like to zip them up with 100 rounds from an MG42... err, I mean MG3.

I hope this is an OK introduction and I haven't come-off like a complete twat. Looking forward to playing with TOG members regardless of my applications outcome.
