Hi, my name is Chris I'm an Ex-Pat pom living in Australia, and I've been a gamer for about as long as I can remember. I was first exposed to pen and paper D&D as a kid when my Dad brought home a set and ran a practice game with me and my sister before introducing it at a youth centre room at the school he taught at. Not long after that he also brought home an Atari 2600 and I fell in love with it.
After that there was the BBC Micro (which other poms may remember from their school days) and Acorn A5000 and friends Amigas. During Uni I got to play the first act of Doom, cooperatively and competitively (and sometimes a mixture of both) on the networks after downloading it from Imperial College's ftp site, and my love of the FPS became firmly entrenched.
These days I don't get to play as much as I used to, with one kid and a second on the way, so my gaming time is pretty precious to me, and it's pretty irritating to end up on a server with some moron blasting Justin Beiber's latest "hit" through voice chat the whole time. I mostly play TF2, and that's taken up over 90% of my gaming time since it was released. I love this game as it doesn't take itself seriously, and for the most part, the players realise that IT'S JUST A GAME. I recently bought Battlefield: Bad Company2 and look forwards to taking that online once our house renovations are complete and we can move back in (currently have very patchy slow internet connection, so no multiplayer anything for me, and I can't even play my single player Steam games

which is what prompted me to finally get B:BC2)
I've met 2 TOG gamers IRL who have recommended I sign up, and I've enjoyed playing on your servers a couple of times, so here I am, hat in hand, requesting to be allowed in.
