Post Long time gamer - mayeb fate brought me here?

Hi all,

Shadow_Silver is my BF2142 callsign and I've been fighting alongside (and against!) =TOG= members almost since I first played this game back in 2007. It's been 3 years and I still play BF2142 regularly (at least one night most weeks - more if I can!) and it is because of the presence of so many familiar =TOG= names showing up all the time on the servers that I thought maybe I should join a like-minded community. Call it fate if you will.

For me, gaming started on Apple ][e in my first year at high school. I played a game called 'Driver' on the high school Apples until it was outlawed because the keys we used for steering eventually wore out and this particular game was blamed! Soon after, a Commodore 64 arrived at home and I've never seriously looked at another Apple since then! The first games I remember on the C-64 were 'Mr Robot', and the 'International Soccer' game on the cartridge that was included with the computer. It had a whopping 1541 floppy disk unit too, so when 'International Karate' came out, I was hooked! However, it wasn't until 'Bards Tale III' made its way on to our C-64 that I became a true gamer. 'Bards Tale III' remains the game that has left the biggest impression on me of any I have ever played.

BF2142 was the first online game I ever seriously played. It is my favourite PC game of all time and it follows that I have spent more time playing it than any other game.

I'm in NSW, Australia and I generally play BF2142 in the evenings, but there isn't really a pattern to which days I play as I travel a lot.

I own a lot of games from several in the Need for Speed range, several in the Call of Duty range (all of them I think), all in the Battlefield range, Baldur's Gate series, most recent Colin McRae games, the first two Assassin's Creed games and many many others. I like games, what can I say!

Thanks for reading this far (unless you cheated and skimmed!!). I don't like those who cheat - and I especially don't like anyone ramming me in a transport in BF2142!

Nice to meet you all

Just noticed all the spelling errors in my first post - embarrassing! Is there any way I can edit the post (including the title)?
