Quick introduction, old computer nerd ( C++ programmer mainly ). Been gaming as long as I can remember. I blocked out the years where I didn't have gaming, so they never happened.
I'm 38 years old, so I've got the 25 year mark beat with 13 years of extra experience.
My first console... I believe it was an Atari 2600.
My first computer... Commodore 64
Online experience: BBS gaming ( lot of Tradewars ), 300 baud modem eventually to the 19.2k, then did muds on the internet before the world wide web. Ultima Online, somehow missed Everquest I even though guys at work played it. I blame Command & Conquer and Civilization for distracting me. Have played/tried about every MMO since then to make up for it.
EQ2 and WoW have commanded the lion's share of the MMO time. Unfortunately, when I started EQ2, the Bazaar had just launched and that was the top server. So I can't move my max level characters to a real server, but I'm willing to reroll ( Najena I think is where the action is at ).
Look forward to finding some like minded veterans of life to enjoy gaming with..
Enjoy working together to kill big things and then stealing the monster's stuff and sharing the spoils with whoever gets the most benefit from it.
Pretty flexible about games as well. I'm wired so that playing a crappy game with friends is more fun than playing a great game by myself.
Thanks,
-Scott
