What games do I want to play with TOG?

Mainly Team Fortress 2. I LOVE Team Fortress 2. I might also be partial to some Bad Company 2. But I haven't actually played it yet. It just looks awesome.

Gaming History.

I started gaming when I was 10. I had a ZX Spectrum with a tape drive. Later, I would stay late at school every night to play Ultima on the Apple IIe they had in the maths classroom. Later still, my true love became adventure games. I played pretty much everything Sierra and LucasArts made. I fell out of computers and gaming for years towards the end of the 90s, but bought a decent gaming PC back in 2007 and have been catching up on nearly a decade of gaming ever since. Consequently, despite my long history, I am still learning how to play modern games effectively. However, I can assure you all that I'm not terrible, just new.

Why do I want to join TOG?

I can pinpoint the exact moment I decided I was never going to play online multiplayer again. I was playing Modern Warfare 2 with a particularly obnoxious collection of children - one of whom kept constantly shrieking anti-Semitic slurs at anyone who had the temerity to kill him. Finally, another member had had enough. And here I paraphrase: "Stop calling people <aforementioned anti-Semitic slur>! It's insensitive, you <person of homosexual orientation>."

Decoding the multiple layers of irony contained within that not-so-innocent bit of harmful fun made me lose my concentration, and I was almost immediately killed. I didn't bother respawning. It was months before I joined another online server. I contented myself with playing Counter-Strike against bots.

But a couple of days ago, I decided to join a public game of TF2. And by pure luck, the server I happened to join was a TOG server. What a lift! I found myself among a polite group, where voice chat could be unmuted safely, and where women were playing unmolested! Moreover, everyone was playing really well! So although I got righteously owned, it didn't matter.

And I thought to myself: I want to be a part of this!

So here I am.
