Hello. I am a 38 year old male, from Auckland, New Zealand. (Insert Sheep joke here).
I am currently interested in joining to play COD2. That may expand when I upgrade my Mac to an Intel.
I have been a gamer for many years. It started (as far as consoles go), with the mighty Commodore VIC 20,playing such games as Blitz, Sidewinder, and well, quite a few of them.
Then on a family trip to HK in 1987, my electronics - crazy father bought an IBM 486. That really kicked things off. The main games I played on that glorious machine were: Spitfire Ace, Leisure Suit Larry 1: In the Land of the Lounge Lizards, Test Drive, and my favorite, Falcon (F16 Simulator).
I also spent a hell of a lot of my teenage years drinking beers and playing RISK, Axis & Allies and Shogun board games...which kind of kept us out of trouble...kind of.
There was also D&D, Stormbringer (RPG), and a great table-top game called Space Marines.
I also had mates that had (in the earliest days), ZX-81s and later Commodore Amigas. So the games never stopped.
Having never owned a Playstation or Xbox, I am more of a Mac/PC game kind of guy. I am also keen on RTS games like AOEII and C&C Zero Hour. I am still active in a MMOG/Flight Sim called Warbirds, and am a member of The Menacing Ferrets Squadron.
I would like to become a member of TOG for 2 reasons. The first is, the age-limit of the players involved in TOG games. (For the obvious reasons). And second, it is good to see an organized community aimed at having fun, without the usual hackers, cheaters and annoying kids on the servers.
Anyway, that's my dollar fifty's worth.
Cheers.
